Just relax the focus of your attention from the content of your experience, including these words, and come back to the simple fact of being. When I say, come back to being, it doesn't really make sense; you never really leave your being. But what I mean is, if you have temporarily lost yourself in the content of experience - thoughts, feelings, sensations, perceptions, and so on - then you seem to move away from, or at least to lose contact with, your being. So much so, very often, that you forget it completely or overlook it completely.
So all that is necessary is just to let go of your experience, whatever it is, from moment to moment - your thoughts, feelings, and so on. Just let go of it, and come back to simply being. Your being is like the perfect friend or the perfect mother: always present, always available, always open, always at peace, always loving, always accepting, wanting nothing from you but giving itself entirely to you. - Rupert Spira, English philosopher, author, poet, and teacher of the non-dual Direct Path Comments are closed.
